Pluchea Lanceolata is a robust plant grows 0.33-2 meters in height. The stem is hard and very hairy. The leaves are elliptical, large, 3-6 cm long and 2-3 cm wide with long petioles. The fruit is achene, 0.4 cm long, with pappus hairs 0.75 cm length. The flowers are yellow, numerous in the ends 0.5-1 cm in diameter. Fresh root, brown in color and turns to gray when dried. Fresh roots resemble the aroma of camphor.

Chemical composition – Contains quercetin, quercitrin, isorhamnetine, pleuchioside, pleuchiol, moretenol, moretenol acetate, triterpenics, sterol glicosides, taraxasterol etc..
