Convolvulus Pluricaulis (Shankhpushpi) is a perennial plant. Its branches are spread on the ground and can be reached up to 30 cm in length. The flowers are blue in color (5 mm). Leaves are elliptical in shape (2mm), located in alternative positions, with branches and flowers. The plant is commonly found in India. All parts of the plant are known to possess therapeutic benefits.

Chemical composition – The plant contains alkaloids such as betaine, shankhpushpi, B-sitosterol, evolvine, Triacontone, pentatriacontane, scopoletin, umbelliferone, scopoline.
